We had a new cat visit our deck to get a drink of water.
I know this is not a bird post but I thought it would be nice to post something else since I haven’t posted anything in a long time. So here it is…
The ground hog cleans up the mess the squirrels make. Yes…we feed the squirrels as well as the birds. It is like “cat TV” for Miss Kitty. And I know not everybody likes ground hogs, but being fairly new to Ohio, I kinda like seeing them as well as the chipmunks that also forage on our deck. We didn’t really have neat critters like that on the west coast.
Taken Sunday, June 21, 2020…this bird came to visit our deck and stayed long enough for me to get several good pictures. But I don’t know what it is and can’t find it in my bird book. Can anyone out there help me to identify it?
Oh..I know. It’s a young Robin!
Hello again! I got a few pictures of a Goldfinch and something blue. I think the blue thing was an Indigo Bunting, but not sure. It flew away before I could focus my camera…darn.
I think this is a mom and baby as the red one looks pretty fluffy. But I’ve seen Cardinals doing the same thing.
We had a new visitor at our deck the other day…a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. It’s the first one I’d ever seen so it was a big thing for me. With Spring finally here, I’m looking forward to all the new birds…but they will have to hold still long enough for me to get some pictures!
